LD-A high-level quality control, low defect, high laser damage threshold

Hellma LD-A is a high-grade optical product in calcium fluoride materials, representing extremely low defect density, high purity, and high structural integrity. During the material production process, ultra-high purity raw materials, vacuum single crystal growth technology, long-term high-temperature annealing, precision stress relief, defect detection and screening are used for full process quality control to control internal defects such as bubbles, inclusions, dislocations, twins, and scattering points below the detection limit.

The low defect characteristic directly brings a high laser damage threshold. Under continuous working conditions of 193nm high-power excimer laser, LD-A type calcium fluoride is less prone to surface damage, bulk damage, and lattice damage, and can withstand long-term high-power laser radiation. Its service life far exceeds that of ordinary grade calcium fluoride materials. For scenarios with high reliability requirements such as semiconductor lithography and high-power laser systems, LD-A level can significantly reduce component replacement frequency and improve system continuous operation time.

Large size high-precision machining, dimensional tolerances and surface quality meet the requirements of system assembly

The size of the analyzed component is a large-sized circular flat plate with a diameter of 100mm and a thickness of 30mm, which belongs to the category of large windows and lens substrates in optical systems. The product size tolerance is strictly controlled within ± 0.5mm, ensuring precise assembly of components in optical lens groups, cavity windows, and detection equipment, avoiding assembly stress, optical path deviation, sealing failure, and other issues caused by size deviation.

The surface of the component is processed by grinding (geschliffen), with a surface roughness of Rq 2 µ m, which can meet the basic surface requirements before high-precision polishing. At the same time, it can be directly used in UV windows and laser transmission components that do not require ultra smooth surfaces. The polished surface has a uniform microstructure, without scratches, pits, or damage, ensuring stable optical performance; At the same time, the 1.5mm standard protective chamfer design can eliminate edge stress concentration, prevent component breakage, cracking, and damage during assembly, transportation, and use, and improve the structural strength and service life of the component.
