Overview
The advanced electronic components of the heavy hammer level gauge are controlled by intelligent motors. Each measurement cycle is initiated by lowering the hammer/cable assembly into the container. The amount of descent/elevation of the steel cable is equal to the empty space distance from the starting point of measurement to the surface of the material below the W55 installation point. The distance is measured using Hall effect detection technology and microcontroller timer circuit, with a measurement resolution within 0.045 inches. Magnetic technology is also used when detecting contact with the material surface.
