The ROBOT-1 pipeline inspection robot aims to use diagnostic robots to detect pipeline defects and evaluate the remaining life of the defective parts. Before inspection, there is no need to clean and polish the surface of the pipeline. The condition of the metal pipeline can be monitored by a layer of sediment up to 35mm. The ROBOT-1 diagnostic robot is equipped with six channels and can crawl through heavily polluted and damaged areas.

ROBOT-1 robot is inserted into the pipeline through a 400mmx600mm (* * small size) incision. This robot does not need to weld any loading chambers into the pipeline. Robots do not require pressurized water in the pipeline to move and perform inspections. Robots use improved magnetic detection methods to search for defects. So in places where other detection methods cannot detect sediment and severe corrosion, the ROBOT-1 robot can measure the residual thickness of pipeline metal walls.
