The EMA500 electromagnetic ultrasonic testing module is an electromagnetic ultrasonic testing instrument that supports secondary development. It allows users to connect their own designed electromagnetic ultrasonic probes and develop their own testing software. This module can provide two differential outputs of ultrasonic analog signals. The 350MHz clock frequency with built-in FPGA circuit ensures high precision, low jitter, and high speed of the product. At the same time, thickness measurement electromagnetic ultrasonic probe, flaw detection electromagnetic ultrasonic probe, and pre tension dual wave electromagnetic ultrasonic probe can be optionally selected.

EMA500 peak voltage 1200 Vpp, center frequency 4 MHz (customizable); Receive bandwidth of 4 MHz (customizable); Gain range 1-100 dB, supports users to adjust using external control voltage 0-1V; Built in impedance matching and filter parameters that can be adjusted according to the user. The module plays an important role in detection scenarios that are difficult to achieve with traditional ultrasonic technology, such as high temperature, low temperature, surface roughness, coating, and high-precision time-of-flight measurement, through the triple technology of high-frequency high-power radiation, low-noise and high gain differential amplification, and high-performance electromagnetic ultrasonic sensors.

Connect the 5V power supply or lithium battery, and press the start/pause switch to achieve the transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves. The gain interface uses an external control voltage of 0-1V to adjust the increment factor, the differential signal output interface is used to output two channel differential signals, and the trigger signal output interface is used to trigger sampling of the acquisition card.

The EMA500 can achieve different thickness measurements and defect detection by replacing electromagnetic ultrasound probes with different diameters and adjusting different excitation frequencies, such as disc-shaped coils, track coils, spiral coils, etc. Electromagnetic ultrasound probes support customized design for users, achieving detection scenarios such as transient 1200 ℃ high temperature, continuous 500 ℃ high temperature, and 5mm large lift off. When used in conjunction with high-frequency acquisition cards and reinforced laptops, 2GHz sampling is achieved to ensure high-precision time-of-flight measurement. ● Petrochemical industry

In scenarios such as refineries and oil pipelines, equipment is exposed to high temperatures (300 ℃+) and strong corrosive environments for a long time. Traditional ultrasonic testing requires shutdown to polish coatings and apply coupling agents, which is inefficient and may damage the anti-corrosion layer. By using electromagnetic excitation and reception of ultrasonic waves through EMA500, it directly penetrates ≤ 5mm paint/epoxy resin coatings to detect volumetric defects such as slag inclusion and incomplete penetration in the bottom steel plate welds, avoiding damage to the anti-corrosion layer caused by polishing.
