The Fenton reactor, also known as the Fenton oxidation tower or Fenton reaction tower, is a necessary equipment for the Fenton reaction to oxidize wastewater with high difficulty. For the treatment of high concentration and difficult to degrade organic wastewater, Fenton reactor can be used as a biochemical pretreatment to improve water quality, enhance the biodegradability of wastewater, and provide favorable conditions for subsequent deep treatment.

The Fenton process, as a wastewater pretreatment technology, improves the biodegradability of wastewater through oxidation methods. Fenton utilizes the chain reaction between ferrous and hydrogen peroxide to catalyze the generation of hydroxyl radicals with strong oxidizing properties, which can oxidize various toxic and difficult to degrade organic compounds. Fenton is particularly suitable for organic wastewater that is difficult to biodegrade or is difficult to achieve through general chemical oxidation.
