Overview

The D G series airflow drying unit is a complete set of equipment used for wet processing of corn, potatoes, and other raw materials after starch dehydration and drying. It can also be used for drying other heat sensitive powder or sheet materials that require rapid drying.

Principle

In the airflow dryer, the hot airflow runs at high speed to suspend the granular material and achieve drying. Due to the high airflow velocity, material particles are suspended in the airflow, resulting in a large heat transfer surface area between gas and solid, high heat transfer coefficient, and short drying time (most materials only need a few seconds for drying), making it particularly suitable for drying thermosensitive materials.
During the drying process, filtered cold air is heated by an air heater and mixed with wet starch sent from the screw feeder through the elevator into the air duct, instantly drying it. The dried starch is discharged through a cyclone separator and a fan, and the exhaust gas is discharged into the atmosphere through a fan.
