working principle

In an alkaline electrolytic cell, oxygen undergoes a reduction reaction at the cathode to generateOH-ion,OH-Ions migrate from the cathode to the anode, where oxidation reactions occur to produce oxygen, which is then discharged from the electrolytic cell. The current generated by the electrolytic reaction is proportional to the oxygen concentration, and can therefore be used to analyze the oxygen concentration in the sample gas. The Coulomb electrolysis method has high sensitivity, making it suitable for the analysis of trace amounts of oxygen.
