1、 Overview of multi-stage distillation tower
In the field of organic solvent waste liquid recovery in the chemical industry, the separation process of multiple mixed solvents has always been an important research topic. Based on relevant literature at home and abroad, how to thoroughly separate multiple mixed solvents has always been a challenge for experts engaged in the research of distillation technology. Currently, China has created and invented many separation technologies in the field of distillation, but they all have certain limitations. Compared with many solvents, they can only selectively separate a few solvents and cannot achieve the final ideal effect. Traditional solvent separation and recovery equipment towers are tall and bulky, occupying a large area and high space, with high initial costs, large and cumbersome manual operation range, and the separation effect is not ideal. Based on years of design and operation experience and combined with the needs and wishes of customers, I have designed and operated them, Based on the principle of multi-stage distillation, a novel series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery device suitable for the separation, recovery, and reuse of various solvents has been designed. This device largely solves the limitations of solvent recovery. The series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery device has the characteristics of compact structure, low initial cost, small footprint, low space occupation, small manual operation range, and simple operation. The biggest advantage of this equipment is that it does not require a too high distillation tower to separate solvents, and its purity is higher than traditional equipment. This device is particularly ideal for the recovery of methanol, ethylene, and alcohol, which have the widest applications. There is no need for forced reflux or liquid level difference reflux. The internal reflux method is used, and the reflux effect is obvious. Generally, the alcohol content reaches over 95%.
The equipment also adopts a distillation method, but not a single tower distillation, but a two-stage heating three-stage distillation method. After calculation, the theoretical number of trays in the first tower packing is equivalent to 1.5 times that of the traditional crude distillation section, and the theoretical number of trays in the second two-stage distillation tower is 1.5 times. In addition, based on years of practical design experience in the separation chamber, I have specially designed a technical device, which greatly improves the performance of traditional alcohol recovery towers.
There are two types of series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery devices. One is the external circulation multi tower distillation recovery device, which integrates multiple towers and multiple effects. It can concentrate various materials under vacuum and recover various single solvents or multiple solvent media with different boiling points and densities while concentrating. This device has high work efficiency and a wide range of applications, with relatively high recovery purity. Another type is an internal circulation solvent recovery device, which is specifically used for separating, recovering, and distilling various high and low concentration inorganic and organic solvents, such as water mixtures, alcohols, methanol, ethers, ethyl esters, n-butanol, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, brass, acetone, and other organic solvents.
2、 Characteristics of multi-stage distillation tower
1: By utilizing precision packing and multi-stage distillation principles, the height can be reduced by more than 60%. Traditional distillation equipment must achieve a maximum ethanol concentration of around 95% within a range of 12 meters or more, while this new type of equipment only requires a tower height of less than 3 meters to recover ethanol, achieving a concentration of over 95%. This not only saves nearly 60% of space, but also reduces labor intensity for personnel. During the operation of the equipment, the operator no longer needs to climb high, but can operate freely on the ground, saving time and effort. For the fully automatic control series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery device, the operator only needs to monitor in front of the computer to master the entire operation process.
2: Due to its unique and exquisite design, it saves about 20% of manufacturing raw materials compared to traditional distillation equipment. The equipment is lightweight, beautiful, easy to install, and flexible, and easy to transport. Compared to traditional distillation equipment, the same specifications save about 60% of space and reduce the footprint by more than 30%. Especially suitable for production workshops with small space. However, traditional distillation and distillation equipment are tall and bulky, consume energy, have low recovery rates, and poor purity. Therefore, this series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery device is currently the complete replacement for traditional distillation and distillation equipment.
3: Compared with the newly invented permeation filtration membrane, the series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery device has seven advantages, including low cost, long service life, no vulnerable parts, wide applicability, easy cleaning, non clogging, and easy maintenance. However, the newly invented permeation filtration membrane can only perform selective single dehydration process and cannot separate multiple organic solvents. It is difficult to clean after use, high raw material cost, easy damage, easy clogging, and cannot be repaired. The solvent processing in the early stage is complicated, and replacement is frequent. Therefore; The series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery device is a new generation of distillation recovery equipment that traditional distillation and distillation equipment, as well as new permeable filtration membranes, can never compare and surpass.
4: The series multi-stage distillation solvent recovery device uses two energy-saving methods for heating steam. One is the series connection method, which means that the condensed water generated during the heating process is not directly discharged, but is introduced into the second reboiler for waste heat reuse using the stepped temperature difference principle. The other is to use the thermal coupling principle combined with the stepped temperature difference principle to heat the solvent, which uses the steam generated by the high-pressure tower to heat the solvent in the low-pressure tower. The combination of the two principles not only saves the original steam but also saves the circulating cooling water, achieving a win-win effect. Through practical experiments, it has been proven that the first method can save about 20% of steam during the heating process compared to traditional distillation and distillation equipment. Depending on the process, adopting the second method can save about 30% of steam during the heating process compared to traditional distillation and distillation equipment. This is also something that traditional distillation and distillation equipment cannot achieve.
