The ScintiPack photomultiplier tube base (296 type) adopts a compact packaging method, providing all the functions required for scintillation detectors: low power consumption, adjustable, high-voltage power supply, active bias, and spectral preamplifier. Integrating the bias power supply into the photomultiplier tube base eliminates the need for using high-voltage cables to connect to bulky external high-voltage power sources. ScintiPack can run with extremely low power consumption (240 mW). This makes ScintiPack highly suitable for portable applications and high-density detector arrays.
