- Suitable for 10 level PMT that can be plugged into a standard 14 pin socket
- Built in low-noise preamplifier
- Pre amplifier output terminal and anode output terminal
- Test input for system testing
- Internal transistor protection circuit
The ORTEC 276 photomultiplier tube socket and preamplifier include an integrated low-noise preamplifier, a PMT socket with a voltage divider, and a focusing control for scintillation detector applications. The device has two output terminals: a preamplifier output for energy analysis and an anode output for timing or auxiliary energy analysis. The preamplifier adopts a DC coupling method to simplify the pole zero cancellation of the main amplifier. Test the input terminal to receive the output of the pulse generator for calibration and testing of the preamplifier and subsequent systems. The 276 model has a diode protection circuit to prevent sudden application or removal of equipment high voltage from damaging internal transistors. The 276 model is powered by the power supply of the ORTEC main amplifier or preamplifier.
The 276 model is directly compatible with most 10 level PMTs that can be plugged into standard 14 pin sockets.
