Below is a detailed introduction to the Velox update:
New AI Tilt feature

-
The AI driven automatic tilt belt axis function easily achieves high-precision and automated tilt operations, freeing hands and making data collection more intelligent!
-
Suitable for SmartCam andCetaThe camera has been optimized for common STEM modes.
-
When called, Velox will indicate the tilt direction of the nearest crystal band axis through a green arrow, which is calculated by AI. Once confirmed by the user, the tilt will be automatically executed.
-
This feature is an optional software.

Custom annotation style

-
The new interface allows you to directly change the annotation style in the toolbar of the processing window.
-
Support saving personalized annotation styles for easy reuse in the future.
-
Click once to change multiple annotation styles.
-
Velox Lite is also compatible with this feature.

More flexible image export

-
Added "Save as Grayscale" option, suitable for JPEG, PNG, 8-bit TIFF formats.
-
For 8-bit TIFF files, this option can significantly reduce the size of the generated file.
-
Velox can now also import 16 bit TIFF files created by Velox.

Interface optimization

-
Uniformly block the "Beam Blank" button and move it to the SmartCam interface.

Display layout optimization

-
Especially when using SmartCam in DPC mode, the display is smoother.

Increased data collection

-
Support saving reference images for spectral imaging.

Increase in analysis data

-
Previously, Falcon camera doses were only visible in Velox's "Object Properties"
-
Now, Falcon camera dose and detector dose can be displayed in real-time in the data bar.

Filter processing enhancement

-
The updated Wiener algorithm supports non square images.
-
As a low-pass filter, it suppresses the background in FFT.

Iliad EELS module has multiple improvements: real-time status bar updates for sample thickness, multiple EELS optimization fitting, and enhanced ELLS+EDS functionality

-
In the EELS real-time view, when the zero loss peak (ZLP) is included in the spectral line range, the calculated thickness value will be displayed in the status bar of the acquisition window.
-
In the processing window, the thickness values of all selected areas and the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of ZLP are now displayed in the experimental log.

-
The optimized fitting options have optimized the fitting of each element peak. Improved fitting of energy band edges and alignment of zero loss peaks, resulting in improved resolution.
-
When EELS and EDS acquisition modes are enabled, the real-time view displays two signals, and the settings are independent of each other.
-
When selecting the appropriate option from the right-click menu, the data used for each element distribution map in the image browser can be displayed.
