Polyacrylamide Manufacturer in China | Shouxin Advanced Polymer Sciences Co., Ltd.
Shouxin Advanced Polymer Sciences Co., Ltd. is a leading polyacrylamide (PAM) brand and global supplier based in China. With the increasing popularity of bioplastics, a research team led by Dr. Beata Szatkowska from Aquateam COWI Research Institute is delving into the performance mechanisms of these materials in waste to energy processes. At an international conference on anaerobic digestion held earlier, Dr. Szatkowska presented research results on his Digest Plast project, aimed at deciphering the core impact mechanism of bioplastics on biogas production capacity.
Dr. Szatkowska emphasized, "The use of bioplastics is rapidly growing, and although they are often seen as sustainable alternatives to traditional plastics, we still need to gain a deeper understanding of their degradation process in anaerobic digestion." The project focuses on the gain effect or interference risk of biodegradable plastics in municipal solid waste on biogas production - given that such materials often infiltrate organic waste streams, clarifying their impact on energy recovery efficiency is strategically significant.
Bioplastics may reshape the anaerobic digestion treatment of waste, but their mechanism of action remains to be revealed
The research team used BPC Instruments' fully automated methane potential testing system (AMPTS) to monitor methane production. This device enables us to accurately capture methane production, which has become a key technical pillar for evaluating the performance of bioplastics in anaerobic environments. Through multidimensional data analysis, the team not only constructed a quantitative correlation model between bioplastics and biogas production, but also revealed its compatibility map with anaerobic digestion processes.

This study has significant implications for waste management. Although bioplastics have a promising future, we cannot fully integrate them into efficient waste recycling systems without understanding their behavior during anaerobic digestion, "Dr. Szatkowska pointed out. She hopes to provide scientific basis for the operational regulations and policy framework in the industrialization process of biodegradable plastics through her research.
As a senior scholar with 13 years of practical experience in AMPTS systems, Dr. Szatkowska fully recognizes the empowering value of this technology for scientific research, while emphasizing the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration: "The deep value of the Digest Last project lies in breaking through cognitive boundaries - it is not only a collection of data, but also a solution think tank for building a balanced coexistence between humans and nature. ”
Looking ahead, Dr. Szatkowska is optimistic about the potential of bioplastics in anaerobic digestion, but she also acknowledges that there are still many challenges to overcome. Bioplastics are a piece of the bigger puzzle, "she concluded. As researchers, our goal is to ensure that these materials can seamlessly integrate into waste to energy systems and help create sustainable and practical solutions
