With the development of science and technology, , The U-shaped oscillating liquid density meter can already be produced in China, and its quality can be comparable to similar foreign products. Due to its relatively low price and high accuracy, many industries have started using this type of liquid density meter. However, the accuracy of the U-shaped oscillating liquid density meter is closely related to whether the oscillating tube is cleaned thoroughly. Because if the oscillation tube is not cleaned thoroughly, the oscillation frequency of the empty tube has already changed.

How can I clean the U-shaped tube thoroughly? The manual only introduces the commonly used cleaning steps. For liquids that are soluble in water, follow these steps. However, measuring liquids that have adhesion and are insoluble in water can be difficult. I have accumulated some experience in practice for colleagues to refer to. Taking BHDM electronic liquid density meter as an example:

1、 Choose a cleaning agent that can dissolve the measured liquid, such as measuring edible oil, which can be cleaned with carbon tetrachloride.

2、 Open the pump wheel pressure shut-off device to ensure that the entire guide pipe is in a conductive state.

3、 Take a 20ml medical syringe and remove the needle. Connect the syringe to the inlet tube of the densitometer.

4、 Insert the outlet tube of the densitometer into the cleaning solution.

5、 Pull the syringe to allow the cleaning solution to enter the U-shaped tube.

6、 Gently push the syringe (not too hard to prevent damage to the U-shaped tube) and push the cleaning solution out of the U-shaped tube.

7、 Repeating the above actions in this way, because there is a certain amount of pressure involved in cleaning, and it is a back and forth movement, it can be cleaned thoroughly.

8、 Then clean the cleaning solution with water.

Whether the U-shaped tube is cleaned thoroughly can be observed through the observation window to see if there are any attachments inside the U-shaped tube, or by checking the displayed value after emptying the tube. If it is within 0.00 × ×, it is almost cleaned, otherwise it is not cleaned thoroughly and further cleaning is necessary.
