1.water bath
water bathIt is a hot bath method that uses water as a hot bath substance. Due to the water temperature being 100 ℃ at standard atmospheric pressure, the maximum temperature of the water bath is 100 ℃. The method of using a water bath to treat container products is to immerse the container that requires a water bath in a larger container containing water. The container that requires a water bath must not come into direct contact with the larger container. Then, place the larger container on a heat source and heat it until the appropriate temperature is reached. Stop heating and take out the water bath container after it has cooled down.
2.Oil bath
Oil bath is a hot bath method that uses oil as a hot bath substance. Commonly used oils include soybean oil, cottonseed oil, etc. The maximum temperature of an oil bath is higher than that of a water bath, generally between 100 ℃ and 250 ℃. The operation method of the oil bath is the same as that of the water bath, but caution should be taken when performing the oil bath to prevent oil overflow or excessive heating of the oil bath, which may cause a fire.

Heating process:
When heating, the substance to be heated is usually placed in a container, which is placed on a heat source. For this reason, the heating container products entering the laboratory should be subjected to hot bath treatment. The so-called hot bath is a method of placing a container inside a hot bath substance, slowly raising the temperature of the hot bath substance to a certain degree, and then slowly cooling it, in order to improve the heat transfer performance of the container and make the bottom of the container uniform. The commonly used hot bath methods in the laboratory include water bath, oil bath, sand bath, etc.
