Overview

The oxygen electrode developed by our company applies the principle of polarography, using gold as the anode, silver as the cathode, and imported silicone rubber permeable membrane as the breathable membrane. It has the properties of collision resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and no deformation. When measuring, a certain polarization voltage is applied between the anode and cathode, and oxygen is consumed at the cathode through the permeable membrane. At the same time, an equal amount of oxygen is generated at the anode. This dynamic process occurs until the oxygen partial pressure on both sides reaches equilibrium. At this time, the current between the electrodes is proportional to the oxygen partial pressure. The meter detects this current and converts it into oxygen concentration through calculation. At the same time, the thermistor detects solubility and compensates for the temperature of oxygen concentration.

Filling and membrane replacement

Turn off the power.

1. Unscrew the electrode cap and pour out the remaining filling solution.

2. Take a new electrode cap and fill it with new electrolyte.

There is a groove on the electrode thread, which allows excess air and electrolyte to be discharged. Hold the electrode vertically, with the electrode probe facing downwards and the groove on the upper side.

3. Gently tighten the electrode cap to allow excess electrolyte to be discharged without generating too much pressure inside the electrode.

4. Clean the electrode and dry the sensing film with a soft tissue.

Connect the power supply. Let the electrode run in the air for at least 30 minutes, not less than 1 hour. Afterwards, perform air calibration and reinstall the electrode after completing the calibration.

Sometimes it is necessary to replace the electrolyte and oxygen permeable membrane. Warning: The filling solution is alkaline and corrosive, containing less than 1% potassium hydroxide. Do not inhale, wear protective goggles and gloves when filling, and avoid contact with clothing. Once it splashes into the eyes, please rinse immediately with clean water and contact a doctor. Short term contact with the skin is harmless, but it still needs to be rinsed with plenty of water
