The 9611 total phosphorus online analyzer is equipped with reagents for the detection and analysis of total phosphorus. Total phosphorus is an important indicator for measuring the degree of eutrophication in water bodies. The function of the 9611 phosphorus meter reagent is to convert phosphorus in water samples into detectable forms (usually phosphorus molybdenum blue complexes) through chemical reactions, and then determine its concentration through colorimetric methods.


The main components and functions of 9611 phosphate reagent

  1. Potassium persulfate (oxidant)
    Used to oxidize various forms of phosphorus (such as organic phosphorus, orthophosphate, polyphosphate, etc.) in water samples into orthophosphate, ensuring that subsequent detection can reflect the total amount of phosphorus.
  2. Molybdate solution (color reagent)
    Under acidic conditions, molybdate reacts with orthophosphate to form phosphomolybdic acid, which is then reduced to form a blue phosphomolybdic blue complex. The color depth is proportional to the concentration of phosphorus and can be determined by spectrophotometry.
  3. Reducing agents (such as ascorbic acid)
    Reducing phosphomolybdic acid to phosphomolybdic blue enhances the sensitivity and stability of color reaction.
  4. 酸性溶液(如硫酸)
    Provide the acidic environment required for the reaction, promote the oxidation reaction and color reaction.


Precautions for using reagents
