Zeissoperating conditionLiquid electrochemical solutions
Zeiss collaborates with Chaoxin to release a new electrochemical solution——ZeissSolution for working condition liquid electrochemistryThis plan relies onSpecial structural design that can be achieved in scanning electron microscopyReal time dynamic high-resolution imaging and multimodal analysis of liquid electrolyte batteries under working conditions.
Working principle: By combining specially processed MEMS chips with button type batteries, an innovative in-situ observation window for electron beam perspective has been designed. Place the button type battery on the working condition battery table to form a closed circuit, and connect the electrochemical workstation and the working condition battery table externally to achieve the necessary circuit power for the experiment.
lspecialStructural design: buckle battery combined with MEMS chip design, suitable for liquid electrolyte batteries
lHigh quality imaging of battery working condition liquid atmosphere: Zeiss excellent electronic optical system combined with 10nm ultra-thin window achieves high-quality imaging of SEM liquid atmosphere
lMulti modal comprehensive characterization: using multiple detectors, combined with EDS, Raman and other analytical methods,Comprehensively revealing micro nano scale evolution and compositional structure
lReal time information feedback: realizing dynamic observation of battery charging and discharging process, capturing subtle changes in its internal environment

Real time SEM images and electrochemical test curves of lithium cobalt oxide during charge and discharge processes. The insertion and extraction of lithium ions in the positive electrode material during the charging and discharging process result in changes in image contrast (as shown in the colored frame)

▲ The EDS results of lithium cobalt oxide reaction, real-time EDS monitoring, clarify the migration of elements during battery charging and discharging process. The EDS results reflect that the white flocculent substance in the upper layer is a fluorine-containing lithium salt, and the appearance of CEI, etc
