Xite Fluorescent Flashlight System Enhances Flashing Mode for Detection under Environmental Light

When observing fluorescence with a strong light source in dark conditions, the fluorescence may appear very bright, but in most cases, it is actually a relatively weak effect that is easily masked by other light sources. If fluorescence is sought under moderate ambient light (such as indoor lighting, sunlight, etc.), any fluorescent object will respond to excitation, but the response may be too weak to be easily detected. By repeatedly flickering the excitation light source (flickering effect), any fluorescence will flicker at the same frequency, while the illuminated background will not. This flicker increases the noticeable contrast, thereby improving detectability. For the blue light (RB) excitation we provide, we offer two filter glass options: a long pass filter and a band-pass filter.
