overview
The GHL series wet mixing granulator is mainly composed of a frame and its accessories, material cylinder and cylinder head functional components, stirring blade and its transmission device, cutting blade and its transmission device, discharge device, wet particle granulation system, spraying device, electrical control system, pneumatic control system, and other parts.
Among them, the functional components of the material cylinder and cylinder head, the stirring blade and its transmission device, the granulation knife and its transmission device, and the whole granulation device are the key mechanical devices. The electrical control system is the core control system of this machine.
Working principle
The materials are fed into the material cylinder through manual feeding or vacuum feeding, and are mechanically fluidized under the action of mixing slurry, forming a good motion trajectory in the silo and achieving uniform mixing. After injecting the adhesive, the material powder is bridged into small particles, which gradually grow into particles that meet the requirements under the mechanical force of the stirring blade.

The GHL series wet granulation machine, as an important process equipment for solid dosage form production in the pharmaceutical industry, achieves mixed granulation of raw materials or produces software materials. It adopts a PLC automatic control system, and the equipment and process comply with current GMP and national pharmacopoeia requirements.

Rack and its accessories
1) The rack is made of high-quality profiles welded together, and the welded rack is coated with 304 stainless steel plate after rust prevention treatment. It is the main supporting structural unit of the whole machine and other functional units;
2) All compressed air pipelines and optional in place cleaning system pipelines and pneumatic components are installed inside the rack;
3) All energy connections for operating conditions are designed with installation interface ends at the rack;
4) Rack attachments mainly include rack cover plates, movable doors, platforms and guardrails, escalators, etc., which play a role in equipment protection and operational safety protection in the equipment system.
Material cylinder and cylinder head functional components
1) The material tank is the main place for material mixing and granulation, which is a cylindrical (bottom) and conical (top) structure. The material cylinder and cylinder head are both made of high-quality low-carbon stainless steel 304, and together with the cylinder seal ring, form a negative pressure bearing cylinder body structure.

Loading device (optional)
1) Vacuum feeding method (as shown in the figure):
Install a vacuum feeder on the cylinder head: suction the powder material into the feeder hopper through negative pressure, and control the discharge valve of the feeder to place the material into the wet pot body when there is time. After the feeding is completed, the quick loading between the feeding machine and the wet granulation machine can be opened to unscrew the feeding machine.
Mixing blade and its transmission device
1) Three petal stirring blade, installed at an angle to the bottom of the material tank; The agitator motor reducer is installed on the equipment bracket under the material cylinder;
2) The actual speed and current of the stirring blade can be displayed on the touch screen as a reference for the next batch of granulation process and a basis for determining the endpoint of this batch of granulation;
3) The stirring blade speed can be adjusted by frequency conversion to assist in low-speed discharge after granulation is completed; The stirring blade shaft adopts an air sealed and dry non lubricated mechanical seal structure to ensure that the product cannot enter and cause pollution.
Cutting blade and its transmission device
1) The cutting blade adopts a double-sided blade structure, and the cutting blade motor is installed on the cylindrical structure of the cylinder body at a 90 degree angle on the side of the cylinder body. The cutting blade motor is covered with stainless steel and the cutting blade speed is adjusted by frequency conversion;
2) The cutter shaft adopts an air sealed and dry non lubricated mechanical seal structure to ensure that the product cannot enter and cause pollution.
Loading device
A pneumatic control discharge valve is installed on the bottom side of the material cylinder; The discharge valve must always be in the open position during the discharge stage. The discharge speed can be adjusted by changing the stirring blade speed; But if an online wet granulation machine is selected, its speed must match the granulation speed.
electrical control system
The electrical control system includes programmable logic controllers (PLCs), touch screens, frequency converters, and other electrical control components and circuits. Except for the touch screen and some sensors, all other electrical components are installed in the electrical box.
The programmable logic controller (PLC) is the main body of the Siemens S7-200 and its software as the control system, and is the heart of the entire control system. It mainly completes the safety chain monitoring, mechanical action control, process parameter control, and fault detection of the granulator, and performs real-time control and management of the granulation production process, quality control, user interface, and in-situ cleaning process. The control system is designed with interlocking and alarm functions, and alarms can be displayed on the touch screen. The touch screen is also designed with historical alarms that can be queried on specific pages. Simultaneously equipped with A4 paper printer, printing process parameters and alarm events. The touch screen is installed on the operation box and can be embedded in the side wall of the workbench for installation.
Electrical box: The control cabinet is independent of the host system and has a double door structure. It adopts a strong and weak electricity separation compartment design with good heat dissipation performance. It is installed in the equipment room for easy maintenance by electrical personnel.
Function Description
1. Adopting an inverted conical pot body increases the number of flips of materials during the mixing process, resulting in high mixing efficiency and fast speed.
2. The control system circuit is programmed using PLC microcomputer, and the human-machine interface and screen display process operation are operable; Implementing fuzzy technology for automatic tracking and adjustment of variable operation parameters; The mixing speed can be stably and safely adjusted using a frequency converter to ensure the granulation effect, and the granulation size can be freely adjusted. The system has a high degree of automation and is easy to operate.
3. A unique structure of stirring slurry was designed using 3D CAD, which is beneficial for scraping off attachments on the inner wall of the container, reducing material deposition on the inner wall and bottom, and minimizing particle collision with the inner wall. This improves granulation efficiency and pellet rate, and reduces fine powder content.
4. Equipped with spray device or drip device. The method of spray, drip or direct mixing can be adopted according to the different requirements of different materials when adding the adhesive. The amount of adhesive is saved and the mixing granulation effect is good.
5. The sealing of the mixing slurry shaft adopts a dual composite technology of rubber ring oiling and spiral oiling, which completely solves various faults and problems that occur in the shaft seal during mixing and granulation.
6. Equipped with a vacuum feeding mechanism, it can achieve automated and dust-free operations.
7. The lid of the wet granulation machine adopts side opening technology and can automatically lift and lower, making it easy to operate and highly safe.
8. Both mixing and cutting are equipped with variable frequency speed regulation function to achieve the best granulation effect, ensuring that the requirements for slow and uniform discharge of the swing pellet machine connected to the high-level machine are met.
