Product Details

Volatile phenol distillation deviceProduct Introduction:
The HCA-300 multifunctional distiller (ammonia nitrogen distiller, green distillate distillation device) adopts far-infrared heating method, which has the advantages of high thermal efficiency, long service life, fast temperature rise and cooling speed, adjustable heating time and heating power. The instrument can be equipped with an external water cooling circulation device, which introduces a constant flow of positive pressure gas during the distillation process, effectively improving the distillation speed and efficiency. The entire system is simple, easy to install and maintain, and reliable to use. It can be widely used in the pre-treatment process of sample analysis that requires distillation in industries such as environmental protection, chemical, pharmaceutical, and materials. Especially suitable for distillation treatment of samples before the determination of ammonia nitrogen, volatile phenols, cyanates, etc.

Technical indicators:

1. Can distill 5 samples simultaneously.

2. The heating power can be adjusted at intervals of 100 watts, with a maximum heating power of 1600 watts.

3. The heating time can be adjusted, with a maximum timer time of 2 hours and 30 minutes and a minimum timer time of 10 minutes.

4. Optional external water cooling circulation device, capable of cooling 5 condenser tubes simultaneously.

5. Built in gas generator, blowing air into 5 distillation bottles to improve distillation efficiency.

6. Power requirement: 220V (10A).

Usage (Taking Ammonia Nitrogen Distillation as an Example)

1. Accurately add 150mL of the sample into 5 distillation flasks and insert a reflux tube at the top of each flask. Ensure that the plastic king tube at the end of the reflux tube is at the bottom of the absorption bottle.

2. Accurately add 100mL of boric acid absorption solution into four receiving bottles, place the receiving bottles at the lower ends of the condenser tubes on both sides of the instrument, ensuring that the silicone rubber tube at the end of the condenser tube is below the liquid level of the absorption solution.

3. Turn on the cooling water and blowing power switch on the left side of the HCA-300 multifunctional distiller. Ensure smooth airflow in the distillation flask and water flow in the condenser tube.

4. Turn on the power switch of the electric furnace. The instrument displays a built-in heating power of "1000" watts. Press the "+" and "-" keys to adjust the heating power to "500" watts. After pressing the "timer" button, the instrument displays "00:00", and then press the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the timer time to "00:20". At this point, it indicates that the scheduled time is 20 minutes. Afterwards, the instrument automatically heats up according to the set power timing until the heating is completed. Once the electric furnace reaches the heating time, the instrument automatically displays "OFF". At this point, although the heating is stopped, the cooling fan of the electric furnace continues to work to remove excess heat. If the heating power is changed during the heating process, the timing needs to be reset.

5. After removing the receiving bottle and diluting it to 250mL, it can be directly used for subsequent titration.

6. After the solution in the distillation flask has cooled to room temperature, turn off the condensate and blowing power switches on the left side of the instrument.

When conducting other sample analyses, the timing and heating power should be determined by the user based on experimental requirements and their own exploration.

Volatile phenol distillation deviceOperation process

Preparation work

(1) Check if all components of the distillation device are intact, such as distillation bottles, condensers, receiving bottles, etc.

(2) Ensure that the power supply of the distillation unit is turned on and the cooling water is turned on.

(3) Prepare the sample to be distilled, ensuring that the sample size is appropriate and avoiding too much or too little affecting the distillation effect.

Install distillation flask

Install the distillation flask on the distillation device as required, paying attention to maintaining the balance and stability of the distillation flask.

Add sample

Add the sample to be distilled into the distillation flask, taking care not to exceed the maximum capacity of the flask.

Connect the condenser tube and the receiving bottle

Connect the condenser tube to the bottom of the distillation flask, ensuring that the interface between the condenser tube and the receiving flask is tight. Meanwhile, place the receiving bottle in a safe and stable location.

Turn on the cooling water

Turn on the cooling water switch to ensure that the flow rate of the cooling water is moderate, in order to ensure the smooth progress of the distillation process.

Start distillation

Turn on the power and start the distillation device. During the distillation process, observe the flow rate and temperature of the cooling water, and promptly handle any abnormal situations.

Collect fractions

After distillation is complete, turn off the power and wait for the cooling water to reflux. Pour the fraction from the receiving bottle into a clean container for further analysis.

Maintenance work

Regularly clean the distillation unit

To ensure the distillation effect, it is necessary to regularly clean the distillation device. Firstly, turn off the power and disassemble the various components of the distillation apparatus. Then, clean the distillation flask, condenser tube, and receiving flask with neutral detergent and a soft cloth. Finally, rinse with clean water and air dry for later use.

Check the sealing of the distillation flask and condenser tube

During use, it is necessary to regularly check the sealing of the distillation flask and condenser tube. If any air leakage is found, the sealing ring should be replaced or the leaking part should be repaired in a timely manner. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the interface between the distillation flask and the condenser tube is tight to prevent leakage.

Check the flow rate and temperature of the cooling water

During the distillation process, it is necessary to regularly check the flow rate and temperature of the cooling water. If insufficient flow or high temperature is found, adjust the cooling water switch or clean the filter in a timely manner. At the same time, attention should be paid to keeping the cooling water clean and avoiding blockages in the pipes.

Maintain motors and electrical components

To extend the service life, it is necessary to regularly maintain the motor and electrical components. If any abnormal noise or heating phenomenon is found in the motor, the motor bearings, radiator and other components should be checked in a timely manner. At the same time, keep electrical components dry to avoid short circuits or electric shock accidents.

Record usage and maintenance time

To facilitate future use and maintenance, it is necessary to record usage and maintenance time. If any malfunction or damage is found in the equipment, it should be dealt with in a timely manner and the reasons and methods should be recorded. This can prevent similar problems from happening again and improve the efficiency of equipment use.
