Fluorescein ITC MEF nanoparticles are water, MeOH or EtOH soluble 70nm silver core nanoparticles, in which fluorescein is doped into 15nm thick outer SiO2Inside the shell. The average diameter of the particle is~About 100nm. Through a process called Metal Enhanced Fluorescence (MEF), the close proximity of fluorescein to the silver core within the shell significantly enhances the fluorescence and photostability of FITC. MEF nanoparticles are significantly 30 times more effective than the corresponding commercial nanoparticles doped with FITC. The maximum wavelength absorption is 468nm, and the fluorescence emission has an intensity of 519nm. The biggest OD is~18.2 @ 468 nanometers is 0.25mg/mL. The surface functional group of silica shell is silanol group.

FITC MEF nanoparticles are sold by drying (freeze-drying) and can be easily reconstructed by adding 1ml of water/buffer, MeOH or EtOH to small bottles.0.25ml of water/buffer, MeOH or EtOH can also be added to the small bottle to give a higher concentration of about 1mg/ml, OD=72.8 @ 468nm. After receiving and rebuilding, the small bottle should be stored in 4 containersØMEF nanoparticles C. solution that should not be frozen.
