Overview
The AR104F series products use the FT4232 chip from FTDI in the UK. Enable your laptop or workstation to communicate with four isolated serial RS-232 or RS-232/422/485 peripherals via USB (Universal Serial Bus). AR104F adds 4 COM ports under Windows to your system through the USB port of the PC, and is compatible with any model of RS-232/422/485 device. This type of plug and play USB solution is highly suitable for mobile, instrument, and POS applications. Simple and convenient serial port expansion with USB plug and play functionality without considering IRQ, DMA, or I/O address resources, making it easy to achieve serial port expansion. Customers no longer need to open the chassis or turn off the host to install directly, saving installation time and cost. Efficient 128 byte FIFO and integrated H/W, S/W processes. Built in 15 KV ESD protection and 2 KV electromagnetic isolation protection. The AR104F series products come with USB 2.0 480 Mbps (high-speed), 128 byte FIFO, and integrated hardware/software flow control and data burst access mode.
