1、 Introduction to Soil Hardness Tester

The SL-TYD hardness tester is a small, high-precision, and easy-to-use portable soil hardness testing instrument. This hardness tester uses the theoretical value Kg/C ㎡ of a pressure gauge to measure the resistance of the soil to vertical additional force when the working part of the farming tool cuts, wedges, or squeezes the soil, expressed in kilograms per square centimeter. Directly measure the hardness value of soil to understand the degree of tightness of soil at different depths. The measurement speed is fast, the measurement results are intuitive, and it can be used for the investigation and research of soil permeability, aeration, and soil properties for large-scale machine operations.

2、 Determination method of soil hardness tester

1. First, level the surface of the soil to be measured, and then slowly insert the tip of the instrument into the soil until it reaches the mouth.

2. Pull out the soil hardness tester vertically and read the hardness indication value from the tableThe reading is based on the outer circle value, in kg. When the probe is inserted into the soil, the hardness value is at the pointer, and the reading should be in Kg/C ㎡.

3. After reading the measurement, please rotate the driven needle knob to reset the indicator to zero.

4. If soil is attached inside the measuring head, it will cause the measurement value to be incorrect. Please rotate the mouth counterclockwise, remove the probe, clean it thoroughly, and then turn it to the fixed position to measure again.
