Overview

Turbidity is caused by particles in the liquid. Turbidity meters use optical methods to measure the turbidity of media. For this purpose, a combination of transmitted/scattered light measurement is adopted, where the transmitter and receiver are placed opposite each other, and the other transmitter is arranged orthogonally (in a 90 #176; Corner). The absorption/scattering of transmitted light is recorded by the integrated evaluation electronic device in the connector, converted into a 4-20 mA signal, and output to a separate evaluation device. The measurement is carried out according to ISO 7027 (90 scattered light measurement).
