Three parameter monitoring equipment for black and odorous water quality
JN-HCSY3
Testing items: transparency, dissolved oxygen (DO), ammonia nitrogen.
According to the needs of rural black and odorous water treatment work, the current water quality status can be monitored, including main water quality indicators such as transparency, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia nitrogen; When necessary, selective investigation of indicators such as total nitrogen, total phosphorus, chemical oxygen demand, and fecal coliforms can be conducted.

Requirements for water quality monitoring of black and odorous water bodies in rural areas
1、 Sampling point setting
Black and odorous water bodies of rivers and ditches with a length of less than 2000m, with 1-2 sampling points set downstream; If the length of the water body is greater than 2000m, sampling points can be appropriately set up upstream, midstream, and downstream.
When the area of the pond type black and odorous water body is less than 500m2, one sampling point should be set up in a location with severe black and odorous water body. When the area of the water body is greater than 500 m2, additional sampling points can be appropriately added around the water body.
The number of sampling vertical lines and the setting of sampling points on each vertical line should be carried out in accordance with the Technical Specifications for Surface Water Environmental Quality Monitoring (HJ91.2-2022). The sampling point should be avoided near the sewage outlet. Sampling points should be set up in locations with severe black and odorous water bodies.
2、 Monitoring indicators
The required indicators include transparency, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia nitrogen, and the indicator values are shown in Table 1. The selected testing items include total nitrogen, total phosphorus, chemical oxygen demand, fecal coliforms, etc. The selected testing items and indicator values should be determined based on the function and use of the treated water body.
3、 Monitoring methods
The unit responsible for monitoring work must carry out monitoring in accordance with relevant specifications and standards, and ensure and control the quality of the entire water quality monitoring process. Organizations, monitoring personnel, on-site monitoring instruments, laboratory analytical instruments and equipment engaged in monitoring shall comply with relevant content such as RB/T214-2017, HJ630-2011, HJ494-2009, and the "Supplementary Requirements for Qualification Certification of Inspection and Testing Institutions and Evaluation of Ecological Environment Monitoring Institutions" (State Administration for Market Regulation, State Administration for Market Regulation, Guoshi Jianjiance [2018] No. 245).
The monitoring and analysis methods refer to the "Water and Wastewater Monitoring and Analysis Methods (Fourth Edition)". The electrochemical probe method is used, and the technical requirements and performance indicators of the portable dissolved oxygen analyzer meet the "Technical Requirements and Testing Methods for Portable Dissolved Oxygen Analyzer" (HJ925-2017); Recommended methods for ammonia nitrogen include Nessler's reagent spectrophotometry and salicylic acid hypochlorite spectrophotometry. Transparency and dissolved oxygen indicators must be measured in situ on site.
4、 Special Matters
Adjust monitoring time as appropriate for seasonal and stagnant water bodies. In principle, samples should be taken during periods when the water volume is normal. Try to avoid sampling on rainy days as much as possible. Depending on the rain conditions, sample after 3-5 days of rain.
5、 Result evaluation
For water bodies with only a single monitoring point, the single factor evaluation method is used to evaluate them based on the identification standards for black and odorous water bodies in rural areas. For the same water body with multiple monitoring points, the single factor evaluation method is first used to evaluate each point. If 60% or more of the monitoring points meet the standard, the entire water body is evaluated as meeting the standard.
