1、 Purpose:

　　Thick paint putty consistency testerIt is designed based on the national standard GB1749-79 of the People's Republic of China, and is used to determine the thickness of thick paint or putty, which is simple, intuitive, and accurate.

2、 Structure and working principle:

Take a sample with a quantitative volume (20mL), place it between two glass plates, and apply pressure with a weight of a certain amount of weight. After a certain period of time, the viscosity of the sample is determined by the degree of flow spread and the diameter of diffusion. If the flow spread is poor and the diffusion diameter is small, it indicates a high viscosity. Otherwise, it indicates a low viscosity, which is an effective identification tool for comparing the thinness of different samples.

3、 Specifications and usage requirements:

1. The inner diameter of the cylinder is 29.7mm and the depth is 20mm, ensuring a cylinder volume of 20mL.

2. The upper glass pressure plate is 200 * 200mm2, with a thickness of 5mm, and a circle with a diameter of 5-16cm is engraved on the plate.

3. The weight of the weight is 2000g.

4. The operating environment temperature is 25 °± 1 ° C, with a relative humidity of 60% to 70%.

5. The paint knife and stopwatch for the experiment are self provided equipment (not included in the supply of our factory).

4、 Measurement method:

Place the lower glass plate on a horizontal tabletop (with the side without concentric circles facing upwards), then place the cylinder in the center of the lower glass plate. Fill the cylinder with the sample (leaving no gap), and then insert the cylinder plug into the cylinder. Slowly lift the cylinder as the cylinder plug is pressed down until the sample inside the cylinder is pressed out. Use a paint knife to cut the cylindrical sample and place it in the center of the glass plate. Press a weight on the center of the upper glass plate, and start the stopwatch while pressing the weight. After 60 seconds, gently lift the weight and remove it. Finally, read the diameter in centimeters of the diffusion sheet of the sample from the engraved line on the upper glass plate, which is the test result (if the sample is pressed into an elliptical sheet, the average of the long and short axes should be taken)

5、 Maintenance and storage:

After the experiment is completed, the glass plate, cylinder, and cylinder plug should be cleaned with gasoline. If the experiment is completed or stored for a long time, all parts of the instrument should be coated with anti rust oil (such as Vaseline) to prevent corrosion and affect the use of the instrument
