1Cement Autoclave Length Meter BY-280Purpose:

The BY-280 length gauge is a precision instrument for measuring length changes. It is suitable for cement production plants, cement product factories, scientific research institutions, colleges, construction departments, etc. It is used to measure the linear expansion rate of expansive cement, the free expansion rate and limited expansion rate of self stressing cement, on-site dry shrinkage experiments of cement binder expansion rate, and the steam expansion rate of cement with high magnesium oxide content.

1. Minimum scale value of dial gauge: 0.0lmm.

2. The maximum range of the dial gauge is 10mm.

3. Measurement range: 296mm-308mm (adjustable).

4. Measuring the half longitude of the spherical surface with a probe: R=3 mm

3、 Structure and characteristics:

The length meter is composed of (as shown in the figure) 1. a dial gauge; 2. Upper measuring head; 3. Bracket; 4. Lower measuring head; 5. Lock nut; 6. Composed of base and other components. It has the advantages of easy use, high measurement accuracy, fast speed, and clear readings. The lower measuring head is adjustable and can be used for testing and detecting various self stressing cement and expansion cement.

4、 Usage:

Place the length gauge on a flat workbench and place the standard rod on the spherical surface of the measuring head of the length gauge

Loosen the locking nut of the lower measuring head inside the hole, adjust the lower measuring head and dial gauge to align the "0" position on the dial with the pointer of the dial gauge, and then tighten the locking nut of the lower measuring head (this position is the standard 0 point position, which should be calibrated to the "O" position before each use).

Wipe the test body clean (usually with the labeled end facing upwards), place one end of the nail head into the spherical hole of the lower measuring head of the length meter, and gently place the other end of the nail head into the spherical hole of the upper measuring head.

Rotate the test object left and right to ensure good contact between the nail heads at both ends of the test object and the upper and lower measuring heads of the length meter, and observe the pointer of the dial gauge. If the pointer of the dial gauge swings during the rotation of the test object, the test object must be removed to check whether there are sand particles or other dirt in the spherical holes of the upper and lower measuring heads of the length meter. If the pointer still swings after inspection and cleaning, it may be caused by the non-circular spherical surface of the nail head or the improper placement of the nail head. At this time, the average value within the swing range should be taken.

4. When measuring the reading of the specimen, the first step is to read the value indicated by the small pointer on the dial, and then read the value indicated by the large pointer (such as when the small pointer is between 34 and the large pointer is on the scale of 15, it should be read as

3.15mm. For example, if the small pointer is between 0-1 and the large pointer is on the scale of 68, it should be read as 0.68mm.

The length gauge is a precision measuring instrument, so it must be handled gently, kept clean, not collided, and not disassembled at will during use to avoid affecting measurement accuracy. After use, the length meter should be wiped clean and stored in a box for future use.
