Terasense Tunable Terahertz Source Frequency Expander
TERASENSE launches a new tunable terahertz source. A tunable terahertz generator consists of two parts: a frequency synthesizer (2-20 GHz) connected to a computer or tablet via USB; And a terahertz active frequency doubling module. The terahertz multiplication module is connected to a terahertz frequency synthesizer through an SMA cable, converting the frequency from the microwave range to the terahertz frequency range with a multiplication factor ranging from x4 to x18.

It should be pointed out that in addition to the conventional optional gain horn antenna, we can now offer another independent option, which is to install a Faraday isolator (also known as a Faraday valve) at the output of the generator. Faraday microwave isolator is a special device used to block reflected waves. When a severely mismatched load is connected to the generator output, the isolator will absorb almost all the power reflected back from the load, thereby isolating the output stage of the generator and preventing possible burnout.

Exceeding the input power level may damage the instrument.
