THz tunable precision attenuator
Tydex providesTunable precision attenuator!Used for attenuating terahertz radiation.

We provide tunable precision terahertz attenuators for terahertz radiation.
The terahertz attenuator consists of two identical terahertz polarizers, which are fixed as a whole on the same substrate. The terahertz polarizer is installed in a rotator and can achieve 360 ° full rotation. The terahertz polarizer through which the beam first passes is called the input polarizer (referred to as the polarizer), and the second one is called the analyzer.
The core advantage of a tunable precision attenuator is its ability to achieve continuous smooth adjustment, precise control of attenuation amount, and a maximum attenuation range of 30-40 dB. Its design effectively suppresses reflection and interference effects by tilting the polarizer plane to make it non parallel.
Each terahertz tunable precision attenuator comes with a calibration curve to determine the relationship between the rotation angle of the analyzer relative to the input polarizer and the corresponding attenuation amount.
Based on the working wavelength range, we offer the following models:
а - (Microwave Attenuator): Suitable for wavelengths ≥ 600 μ m
B - (Terahertz attenuator): Suitable for wavelengths ≥ 150 μ m
C - (Infrared Terahertz Attenuator): Suitable for wavelengths ≥ 15 μ m
The typical calibration curves are shown in Figures 1 and 2. In addition, attenuation calculation software is provided to facilitate precise control.
