Inductive proximity sensor - XS series

Our inductive proximity sensor (formerly known as OsiSense XS) is only used to detect metal objects up to 60mm in size. They basically include an oscillator, whose winding forms the sensing surface. An alternating magnetic field will be generated in front of these windings.

When a metal object is placed in the magnetic field generated by the sensor, the induced current forms an additional load and the oscillation stops. This will cause the output driver to operate and generate normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) output signals depending on the sensor type.

Our inductive sensors are available in both flush and non flush versions (shielded/unshielded), short and long body versions, PNP and NPN versions, and are compatible with all PLCs and controllers worldwide. 2-wire DC, AC, or AC/DC versions can also be installed as limit switches in your application.

Capacitive Proximity Sensor - XT Series

Our capacitive sensor (formerly known as OsiSense XT) is suitable for non-contact sensing of any material up to 20mm, regardless of material or conductivity (metal, mineral, wood, plastic, glass, cardboard, leather, ceramic, fluid, etc.).

Due to the charged ability of the target, capacitive proximity sensors can sense and detect the target. Capacitive sensors apply voltage to an area and detect objects by measuring changes in electrical characteristics called capacitance, which is the ability of something to retain charge. Since even non-conductive materials can retain charge, this means that using this type of sensor can detect almost any object.
