Equipment Name: TDS Thermal Desorption Hydrogen Analyzer
Model: G4 Phoenix+MS

1、 Main functions and application scope:
The G4 Phoenix TDS analyzer can measure the diffusion hydrogen content in metal materials through thermal extraction, and can also analyze the hydrogen trap binding energy in steel through hydrogen thermal desorption spectroscopy. This device can achieve programmed temperature rise and freely set the heating rate. It can achieve temperature measurement, as well as linear and gradient heating measurement. The heating rate can be freely set; The software records the real-time release process curve of hydrogen as the temperature rises, and the diffusion hydrogen, non diffusion hydrogen, and total hydrogen content can be calculated through the curve; Analyze the binding energy of hydrogen traps by measuring the hydrogen thermal desorption spectrum; This equipment is mainly used for the study of hydrogen embrittlement performance of high-strength automotive steel, providing more targeted detection data for the control of hydrogen content in the production, research and application process of steel by production and R&D personnel, and providing reliable basis for the research and development of high-strength, hydrogen embrittlement resistant steel products and hydrogen embrittlement sensitivity evaluation.

3、 TDS Thermal Desorption Hydrogen Analyzer Instrument Configuration
1. Heating unit: Equipped with both infrared heating furnace and resistance furnace, the corresponding furnace can be selected according to the application, with a temperature range of room temperature -1000 ℃. The infrared furnace has a programmed heating function.
2. Sample injection unit: Diffusion hydrogen detection uses quartz sample tubes with an inner diameter of not less than 30mm, which can directly analyze samples with a maximum size of 29mm × 150mm.
3. Gas standard calibration unit: An internal gas standard calibration unit is used for instrument calibration, which has more than 10 different volume quantitative rings to ensure good linearity.
4. Detection unit: The instrument is equipped with a high-sensitivity thermal conductivity detector (TCD), and can also be optionally equipped with a mass spectrometer or have the ability to upgrade the mass spectrometer on site, for achieving ultra-low hydrogen detection capability in the future.
