The pass stop ring gauge is two measuring tools divided into a pass gauge and a stop gauge.

For example, the thread gauge of M6-7h has one end as a gauge (T). If it can be smoothly screwed into the tested threaded hole, it is qualified. Otherwise, if it is unqualified, it needs to be reworked (that is, the hole is too small). If the gauge (Z) can be smoothly screwed into the tested threaded hole by 2.5 turns or more, it is considered unqualified, otherwise it is qualified. And at this time, the unqualified threaded holes should be scrapped and cannot be reworked. Among them, 2.5 circles are the national standard, and if there are many exported items, only 1.5 circles can be entered (standard). In short, passing both the general and non general regulations is considered qualified, while passing both the general and non general regulations or passing both the general and non general regulations is considered unqualified.

For example, when inspecting the size of a hole, the stop end is made according to the upper limit of the allowable deviation of the hole diameter, and the through end is made according to the lower limit of the allowable deviation of the hole diameter. During inspection, if the stop end can pass, it indicates that the hole diameter is too large, unqualified, and cannot be reworked; If the connecting end cannot pass through, it means that the aperture is too small and also unqualified, but it can be reworked to make it qualified.

Usage


Use two ring gauges to screw onto the external thread to be tested (in any order).

(1) However, the thread diameter is too large and the product is not qualified.

(2) The specification has been passed, but the diameter is too small and the product is not qualified.

(3) The gauge can rotate freely at any position on the thread, and the stop gauge can be turned one to two or three times, and sometimes even one or two more times. However, the thread head cannot be turned until the end face of the gauge is out of the ring. This indicates that the tested external thread diameter is exactly within the "tolerance zone" and is a qualified product

According to the "General Principles" of ISO 1502 "General Thread Gauge and Inspection" standard, 1. Internal thread gauges are not allowed to enter 2 threads, and for products with threads less than 3 threads, gauges are not allowed to enter the threads. 2. The external thread gauge is not allowed to enter 2 threads, and for products with threads less than 3 threads, the gauge is not allowed to enter the threads. 2、 American standard: Ansi/ASME B1.2 "Unified Thread Gauge" standard: 1. Internal threads are not allowed to enter 3 threads according to the standard: hi thread stop gauge. 2. According to the standard regulations, the LO thread gauge is not allowed to enter 3 threads. 3、 According to Section 9 "Purpose and Method of Use of Thread Gages" of Japanese Standard JIS B052 "Limits of Metric Ordinary Thread Gages":
