Surfactant S17 (ON-870) is a low foam emulsifier, as well as a good wetting agent, dispersant and detergent. It belongs to non-ionic surfactants and has excellent chemical stability and biocompatibility. It can form stable micelle structures in aqueous solutions, effectively reducing the surface tension of the solution. Surfactant S17 has a better effect on colloidal gold urine products, with advantages such as improving matrix effects, increasing sensitivity, and reducing non-specific properties.

Characteristics: Low foaming, strong wetting, dispersibility, washability, suitable for colloidal gold immunochromatographic systems (especially urine samples).

Surfactant S17The mechanism of action:

Improving matrix effect: Regulating the viscosity and surface tension of urine samples through hydrophilic hydrophobic balance, reducing interference from non target substances such as salts and metabolites.

Enhance sensitivity: Promote efficient binding between colloidal gold labeled antibodies and target antigens, reducing signal loss caused by particle aggregation.

Reduce background color: Inhibit non-specific adsorption of colloidal gold (such as nitrocellulose membrane or impurities in the sample), optimize signal-to-noise ratio.

Stable colloidal gold: By binding hydrophobic chains to the surface of colloidal gold, hydrophilic chains form steric hindrance to prevent particle aggregation.

The recommended final concentration is 0.01% -0.2% (gradient optimization is required).
