Human red blood cell antibodies are used for whole blood immunochromatographic detection, effectively intercepting and filtering red blood cells, making the background of the test strip clean. We have two types of human RBC antibodies: mouse anti human RBC and sheep anti human RBC. Human red blood cell antibodyCommonly referred to as red blood cell antibodies or blood type antibodies, they are immunoglobulins produced by the human immune system that can specifically recognize and bind to red blood cell surface antigens. These antibodies mainly involve fields such as transfusion safety, hemolytic disease of the newborn, and autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
Core principle:
The surface of red blood cells is covered with various specific glycoproteins or glycolipids, known as red blood cell antigens (such as A antigen, B antigen, Rh antigen, etc.).
If a person has a certain antigen on their red blood cells, their serum usually does not produce antibodies against that antigen.
If a person's red blood cells lack a certain antigen, their immune system may consider foreign red blood cells with that antigen as "foreign objects" and produce corresponding antibodies.
When antibodies bind to the corresponding antigen, it can cause red blood cells to aggregate or be destroyed (hemolysis).
