Overview

The standard infrared tablet press (imitation imported mold, infrared tablet press mold, large mold) has a tablet press mold diameter of 13mm, with two types of demoulding and non demoulding, and can be matched with various imported brands of Fourier transform infrared spectrometers, such as PE from the United States, Shimadzu from Japan, Bruker from Germany, Thermo Fisher Scientific, etc. Other non-standard molds with diameters of 10, 5, 15, 20, 30, etc. can also be customized according to customer needs.

This product is a compact, labor-saving, convenient, and highly functional manual hydraulic tablet press designed specifically for preparing powder samples for infrared spectrometers. It can also be used for other pressure tests and has pressure measurement indication function. It is particularly suitable for supporting various imported Fourier transform infrared spectrometers from abroad. It can replace imported accessories to reduce capital costs, and is durable, reliable, and cost-effective. Mainly used in the experimental research fields of fine ceramic powder, superconductivity, building materials, new materials, green energy, etc., for pressing samples or other places that require pressure to be applied. It is particularly suitable for use with calcium iron analyzers, infrared spectrometers, X-ray fluorescence and other testing instruments, with no pressure drop, no oil leakage, and reliable quality.

Standard infrared tablet pressThe amount of the test sample used in the tablet pressing method is generally 1-2mg. As it is not possible to weigh it with a balance and add it, and the absorption degree of infrared light varies for each sample, it is often taken based on experience. Generally, it is required that the majority of absorption peaks in the spectrum obtained are within the range of 10% to 80% transmittance. If the transmittance of the strong absorption peak is too high (such as greater than 30%), it indicates that the sampling amount is too small; On the contrary, if the strong absorption peak is close to a transmittance of 0% and is a flat peak, it indicates that the sampling amount is too large. In this case, the sampling amount should be adjusted and re measured.

The standard infrared tablet pressTablet pressing process:
Arrange the sample powder in the order shown in Figure A. Use a manual tablet press to evenly spread the finely ground and dried sample powder onto the base of the mold. Press and rotate the upper pressing head by hand to ensure that the sample powder is uniform and flat. If vacuum pumping is required, a manual tablet press can place an O-ring between the outer cover and the upper pressure head, and insert an exhaust hose into the exhaust nozzle (usually without vacuum pumping). Place the mold in the center of the tablet press worktable, usually only need to apply pressure to 8-10 tons, with a pressure indication value of less than 20MPa, and maintain the pressure for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the mold from the manual tablet press, remove the upper pressing head and outer cover. At this time, the sample holder of the manual tablet press will adhere to the base and occasionally to the upper pressing head. As long as the base or upper pressing head connected to it is placed on a flat plate with the large plane facing downwards, the sample holder can be removed by vibrating it a few times on the flat plate.

Test Method:
If using TJ270-30 (A) infrared, manually insert the sample holder directly into the sample chamber using a tablet press.
If using Fourier transform or other types of infrared, insert the sample holder into the circular hole of the specially designed insertion plate and then insert it into the machine sample chamber.
