Structure and working principle:

Forged steel welded check valve refers to a valve that automatically opens and closes the valve disc based on the flow of the medium itself, used to prevent the backflow of the medium. It is also known as a check valve, one-way valve, backflow valve, and back pressure valve. It belongs to the automatic valve category, and its main function is to prevent the backflow of the medium, prevent the pump and drive motor from reversing, and prevent the release of the container medium.

There are three main design forms of valve cover connection for forged steel check valves: the first is bolt type valve cover, where the valve body is connected to the valve cover with bolts and nuts, and sealed with wrapped gaskets (such as 316 clip flexible graphite); The second type is a welded valve cover, with the valve body and cover connected by threads, fully welded and sealed. When customers have special requirements, a through welding connection can also be used; The third type is a pressure self tightening valve cover, in which the valve body and cover are connected by threads, relying on internal pressure to seal the self sealing ring. The higher the internal pressure, the better the sealing performance.

Check valves can be divided into three types based on their structure: lift check valves, swing check valves, and butterfly check valves. The valve disc needs to have sufficient strength and rigidity, and its sealing surface can be welded with metal material or embedded with non-metal material according to user requirements. Some designs include valve disc limit devices to prevent the valve disc from opening too high and unable to close. Solid pin shafts are used to ensure installation accuracy and strength, while rocker arms have sufficient strength and freedom to facilitate valve disc closure when closed. Large caliber check valves may be designed with lifting rings for easy lifting.

The opening and closing components (valve disc) of the check valve rely on the force of the flowing medium to open or close on their own. When the medium flows downstream, the pressure of the medium pushes open the valve disc and the valve opens; When the medium stops or flows back, the valve disc automatically closes under the pressure or self weight of the flowing medium, preventing the medium from flowing back.

Main technical parameters:

The nominal pressure range of forged steel welded check valves is usually 1.6~42Mpa (150LB~2500LB), and the applicable temperature range is usually -29 ℃~550 ℃.

Its applicable media include water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, strong oxidizing media, and urea. The main connection methods include socket welding, NPT thread, and welding.

Common valve body materials include A105 carbon steel, F304/L, F316/L, F321, F11 and other stainless steel or alloy steels. Common models include H14W-800LB, H61H, H61Y, H61W, etc.

The execution standards for this valve include design and manufacturing in accordance with MSS SP-118, ASME B16.34, API 602, etc. Inspection and testing shall comply with API 598, marking shall comply with MSS-SP-25, and connection end dimensions shall comply with ASME B16.11, etc.
