Product Details

Siemens G120 frequency converter reports F7807 fault repairWear of motor cables, short circuit of copper wires in the shielding layer, and aging of power module detection circuits (such as capacitor leakage and IGBT damage). S120 driver F30021 module is grounded, G130 frequency converter reports overload F30005 code, Siemens server F7410 is repaired, starting motor does not move 7900 alarm, frequency converter lights red, fault cannot be cleared, panel looseness reports fault, frequency converter has no display light and does not light up,

Reason for malfunction

Short circuit or ground fault

A phase to phase short circuit or grounding is detected on the output terminal of the frequency converter motor side.

The specific fault value (r0949) may indicate:

1: UV phase short circuit

2: UW phase to phase short circuit

3: VW phase to phase short circuit

4: Overcurrent grounding

5-7: Motor cable interruption (U/V/W phase).

Cable or motor issues

Wear and tear of motor cables, short circuit of copper wires in the shielding layer (especially at the corners of bridge structures with high vibration).

Poor insulation of motor windings or oxidation of cable joints.

Parameter setting error

Improper setting of current cutoff parameters or mismatch between motor parameters and actual conditions.

The cable length exceeds the allowable range, resulting in misjudgment.

Hardware malfunction

Power module detection circuit aging (such as capacitor leakage, IGBT damage).

Dust accumulation on the control board or high environmental temperatures (>50 ℃) can cause component instability.

2、 Solution

1. Basic inspection

Power off and restart: Clear temporary faults.

Cable testing:

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the motor winding and the continuity of the cable, and the insulation resistance should be greater than 0.5M Ω.

Check if the shielding layer is in contact with the phase line (with a focus on inspecting the motor junction box).

Swap test: Swap the U/V/W phase lines and observe whether the fault value changes.

2. Parameter calibration

Check the motor parameters (P0307 rated current, P0206 cable length).

Perform static detection: Set P1900=2 for motor recognition.

3. Environment and Maintenance

Clean the dust inside the frequency converter to ensure proper heat dissipation.

Improve ventilation in the distribution room to avoid high temperatures (it is recommended to install axial fans).

4. Professional maintenance

If hardware is damaged (such as power modules, detection circuits), components need to be replaced.
