Overview

The Shore portable hardness tester is used to test the hardness of plastics. The dual pointer dial reads the Shore hardness tester, and various Shore hardness scales are available. It is suitable for testing the hardness of creep materials. The die cast aluminum shell is sturdy, the precision stainless steel force spring is flat, and the glass dial is scratch resistant and fade resistant. It can be tested at any position and meets or exceeds DIN53505 and ASTM D 2240 standards. Calibration is convenient and the operator can be selected to reduce human error.

It is suitable for testing the hardness of creep resistant materials and has a sturdy die cast aluminum shell, precision stainless steel force spring, flat glass dial, scratch resistant, and fade resistant. It can be tested at any position and meets or exceeds DIN53505 and ASTMD2240 standards for calibration. It is convenient to use an operating platform to reduce human error. During detection, there is no need to observe the values in real time based on changes in the measurement angle. As long as the measurement is completed, the driven pointer is directly positioned on the measured value scale for easy reading, eliminating errors caused by changes in the observation angle.

Purpose:

Suitable for hardness measurement of hard plastics (such as thermoplastic, hard resin, nylon, and organic glass), hard rubber, and other related chemical products (such as anti-corrosion materials, flame retardant materials, paint coatings, etc.).

Precautions for use:

1. Before measurement, it should be checked that the pointer of the hardness tester should point to zero in the free state. When the pointer deviates from the zero position, the upper right corner compression screw can be loosened, the surface can be rotated, and aligned with the zero position.

2. Rubber samples and test temperature requirements:

① The room temperature during calibration is 23 ℃± 5 ℃, and the hardness tester should be stored at this temperature for at least 1 hour before calibration.

② The thickness of the rubber sample shall not be less than 6mm, the width shall not be less than 15mm, and the length shall not be less than 35mm. When the thickness of the sample is less than 6mm, the same film can be overlapped for measurement, but not exceeding 3 layers. And require the film to be parallel up and down.

3. Plastic samples and test temperature requirements:

① If possible, the sample should be conditioned at the laboratory standard temperature in accordance with GB/T2941-1991 before testing. Comparative or series tests must be conducted at the same temperature.

② The plastic sample is square with a side length of 50mm and a thickness of 6mm. It is also allowed to use a sample with a size of 50 × 15mm.

4. Please pay attention to regularly wiping and applying a small amount of rust proof oil to the lifting shaft and the bottom of the workbench on the fixed load measuring rack to prevent rusting.

5. Check the relationship between spring pressure and pointer scale, as well as the shape and size of the pressure needle end according to regulations.

6. The surface of rubber and plastic samples should be smooth, flat, and free from mechanical damage, impurities, and other defects.

7. After using the hardness tester, put it into the instrument box or instrument box and place it in a dry place to prevent the instrument from getting damp.
