Product Introduction

Visible light is an electromagnetic wave with a wavelength of 380nm~780nm. Due to the statistical properties of light emission, the vibration direction of the electric vector of the electromagnetic wave can take any direction perpendicular to the direction of light propagation, which is usually called natural light. By using certain devices (such as polarizers), the vibration direction can be fixed in a certain direction perpendicular to the direction of light wave propagation, forming what is called plane polarized light. When plane polarized light passes through a certain substance, the vibration direction of the polarized light will rotate by an angle, which is called a rotating substance. The angle that polarized light rotates by is calledoptical rotation.

Instrument maintenance:

(1) The polarimeter should be placed in a well ventilated, dry, and temperature appropriate place to prevent moisture and mold.

（2) Continuous use of polarimeterThe usage time should not exceed 4 hours. If it is used for a long time, it should be turned off for 10-15 minutes in the middle, and the sodium lamp should be cooled before continuing to be used, or blown with an electric fan to reduce the heat level of the lamp tube, so as to avoid a decrease in brightness and lifespan.

(3) After using the test tube, the solution should be promptly poured out, washed with distilled water, wiped dry, and stored. All lenses should not be wiped directly by hand, but should be wiped with a soft velvet cloth.

(4) When the polarimeter is stopped, the plastic sleeve should be put on. When packing, it should be placed in a fixed position inside the box and tightly pressed.
