Selection of manufacturers for sewage flow metersIt can be widely used for measuring the volumetric flow rate of conductive liquids in municipal water supply, steel, petroleum, chemical, power, industry, water conservancy, water resources and other departments, especially suitable for flow measurement in channels, small rivers, and sewage measurement in environmental protection treatment.
Principle of sewage flowmeter:

The measurement principle of sewage flowmeter is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The measuring tube of the flowmeter is a short tube lined with insulating material and non-magnetic alloy. Two electrodes are fixed on the measuring tube along the diameter of the tube, passing through the wall. The electrode tip is completely flush with the inner and outer surfaces of the lining. When the excitation coil is magnetized by bidirectional square wave pulses, a task magnetic field with a magnetic flux density of B will occur in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the measuring tube. At this point, if a liquid with a certain conductivity flows through the measuring tube, it will cut the magnetic field lines and induce an electromotive force E. The electromotive force E is proportional to the magnetic flux density B. Measure the product of the inner diameter d of the tube and the uniform flow velocity V. The electromotive force E (flow signal) is detected by the electrode and sent to the converter through the cable. After enlarging the flow signal, the converter can display fluid flow and output pulse, analog current and other signal signals for flow control and regulation.

2、 Characteristics of sewage electromagnetic flowmeter:

4、 Installation requirements for sewage flow meters:
1) In terms of installation environment:
It is advisable to stay away from equipment with strong electromagnetic fields, such as large motors, transformers, and frequency converters.
The installation site should not have strong vibrations, the pipeline should be securely fixed, and the ambient temperature should not change significantly (to prevent solid-liquid two-phase changes).
The installation environment should be easy to install and maintain.
2) In terms of installation location:
The installation position must ensure that the pipeline is always filled with the measured liquid.
Choose a location with low liquid flow pulses, which should be away from local resistance components such as pumps, valves, and elbows.
When measuring biphasic (solid, liquid, gas, liquid) liquids, a location that is not prone to phase separation should be selected.
The inner diameter or circumference of the tested pipeline should be easy to measure, and the ellipticity should be small.
3) In terms of the length of the straight pipe section:
The length of the straight pipe section on the upstream side of the sensor installation pipeline should be greater than or equal to 10D, and the downstream side should not be less than 5D (D is the diameter of the measured pipeline).
4) Regarding flow control valves and regulating valves:
The flow control valve should be installed in the measured pipeline upstream of the sensor, and the flow control valve should be installed downstream of the sensor.
When it comes to flow, the flow control valve should usually be fully open.

6、 Selection of electrode materials for sewage flowmeter:

material corrosion resistance
316L For nitric acid, sulfuric acid at room temperature<5%, boiling phosphoric acid, alkaline solution; Under certain pressure, media such as sulfurous acid, seawater, and acetic acid have strong corrosion resistance.
Hastelloy HB Resistant to all concentrations of non oxidizing acids, bases, and non chlorinated hydrochloric acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and organic acids at boiling point.
Hastelloy HC Resistant to oxidizing acids such as nitric acid, mixed acids, or mixtures of chromic acid and sulfuric acid, as well as oxidizing salts and seawater
Titanium It can withstand corrosion from seawater, various chlorides and hypochlorites, oxidizing acids (including fuming nitric acid), organic acids, alkalis, etc. It is not resistant to corrosion from relatively pure reducing acids (sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid), but corrosion is greatly reduced when the acid contains oxidants (such as nitric acid and media containing Fe and Cu ions).
Tantalum It has excellent corrosion resistance similar to glass, except for hydrofluoric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, and can withstand corrosion from almost all chemical media (including boiling point hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid below 175 ° C). It is not resistant to corrosion in alkali.
