The safety instrumented system SIS module CP315F-2PN/DP, compared to the CPU 315-2DP, has distributed fault safety I/O modules that can not only be locally connected through the integrated PROFINET interface (PROFIsafe), but also connected through the integrated PROFIBUS DP interface (PROFIsafe).

A CPU with medium program memory and program size is used to establish a fault safety instrumented system (SIS), suitable for factory safety levels up to SIL 3 (IEC 61508) and PL e (ISO 13849.1) for increased safety requirements. The CPU 315F-2 PN/DP allows for the implementation of fail safe automation systems on devices to meet increased safety requirements, particularly in manufacturing automation.

Can be used as a PROFINET IO controller and a standard PROFIBUS DP master in SIMATIC S7-300. CPU 315F-2 PN/DP can also be used as a distributed intelligent slave (DP slave).

Distributed I/O stations containing fail safe I/O modules can be connected through two integrated interfaces. The ET 200M fail safe I/O module can also be installed in safety related central configurations.

Implement secure communication between F-CPU and fault-tolerant I/O modules based on PROFIsafe specifications. The operation of the CPU requires SIMATIC miniature memory cards (MMC cards).

4、 Safety Instrumented System SIS Module CPU 315F-2PN/DP Communication

The secure communication and standard communication between the central controller and distributed stations are carried out on PROFIBUS DP and/or PROFINET. The specially developed PROFIsafe supports the transmission of user data with security features in standard data packets. No other hardware components are required, such as a special safety bus. The required software can be integrated into hardware components as an extension of the operating system, or loaded into the CPU as a software block.


5、 Safety Instrumented System SIS Module CP315F-2PN/DP Operation Mode

The safety function of F-CPU is included in the F program of CPU and the fault safety signal module. The signal module uses differential analysis methods and test signal injection techniques to monitor input and output signals. The CPU checks the correctness of the controller's operation through periodic self checks, command testing, and logic and time-based program execution checks. In addition, I/O can also be detected through "sign of life" requests. When the system diagnoses a fault, it will enter a safe state. Running CPU 315F-2 PN/DP does not require F-run version authorization.


6、 Programming of Safety Instrumented System SIS Module CP315F-2PN/DP

The programming method for CPU 315F-2 PN/DP is the same as that for SIMATIC S7 system. Non secure user programs can be created using programming tools such as STEP 7.

The STEP 7 option package "SIMATIC S7 Distributed Safety" (Classic) or SIMATIC Safety Advanced V12 (TIA Portal V12) is used for programming safety program segments. The option package includes all the functions and blocks used to create the F program.

F-programs with security features can be connected using either F-FBD or F-LAD, or by utilizing special function data blocks in the F-function library. The use of F FBD or F LAD can provide a unified representation across systems, simplifying system configuration, programming, and acceptance testing. Programmers can configure secure applications without the need for other tools.
