Introduction
SPIR Ace is a multifunctional Radioisotope Identification Device (RID) suitable for all scenarios that require efficient detection and identification of radioactive threats, including nuclear emergency, border security, customs inspections, and more. It can also provide accurate nuclear material assessments for organizations such as nuclear power plants, security inspections, forensic laboratories, and OSI/CTBTO.
SPIR Ace performs better than current RID related standards in terms of nuclide identification, such as the identification of heavily shielded radioactive isotopes, non-equilibrium mixed nuclides, and special nuclear materials (SNMs) masked by or natural radioactive nuclides (NORMs). SPIR Ace has a user-friendly interface and provides modern features such as directional guidance, positioning, and remote data transmission; Real time data transmission and feedback can be achieved, and remote display and control can be achieved through wireless networks.
This device can be combined with offline Genie software, endowed with portability and on-site measurement capabilities, enabling SPIR Ace not only to quickly identify and detect nuclides, but also to perform accurate quantitative analysis.
SPIR Ace can be equipped with NaI detectors for more efficient detection, search, and positioning functions. It can also be optionally equipped with LaBr3 detectors to meet high-resolution requirements in complex spectral situations. In addition, integrated neutron detectors and alpha/beta external surface contamination probes can be added for monitoring and alarm coverage of all types of radiation.
