Characteristics and Applications of Input Type Liquid Level Transmitters for SIS/DCS Systems:

Working Principle:

The TY-100 series immersion type liquid level sensor transmitter adopts the principle of static hydraulic measurement. When the measuring head is placed in the liquid, assuming the atmospheric pressure is Po, the height from the liquid level to the measuring element is h, the liquid density is r, and the local gravity acceleration is g, the pressure on the transmitter probe is Pl=Po x r × g × h. The pressure on the negative side of the sensitive element connected to the atmosphere through the air cable is P2=Po. Therefore, the pressure difference measured by the measuring element is P=Pl-P2=r × g × h. For specific liquid media and determined areas, r and g are constants, and the depth of the liquid can be obtained from the output current of the instrument.
