Overview
The Russian VYMPEL cold mirror dew point meter is measuring that for mirror temperatures above 0 ℃, water vapor condenses on the mirror surface in the form of liquid water (dew). The condensation layer formed at a mirror temperature above 0 ℃ is considered the dew point; For mirror temperatures far below 0 ℃, water vapor condenses in solid form. VMYPEL, a natural gas company in Russia, has been producing and developing cold mirror technology for over 30 years. Our R&D team has developed multiple dew point meters for measuring the moisture content of natural gas, breaking the measurement limit of conventional cold mirror methods. Our instrument's measurement limit has reached -80oC, making us a leader in similar products.

The condensation layer formed by the mirror surface temperature of the cold mirror precision dew point meter, which is far below 0 ℃, is considered a frost point.
Chilled-mirror dew-point hygrometerWhen a constant thickness condensation layer is in a stable state, it is in a dynamic equilibrium with the gas around the mirror surface. In this equilibrium state, the dew point or frost point temperature of the gas can be determined by measuring the temperature value of the mirror surface. If the condensation layer is liquid, even if the temperature is below 0 ℃, the measured mirror temperature is still the dew point temperature; If the condensation layer is in solid form such as ice or frost, the measured mirror temperature value is the frost point temperature.
