The Rosemount 5600 series is an intelligent 4-wire non-contact radar level transmitter. Its high-performance microprocessor has advanced signal processing and intelligent echo tracking functions. General application
The Rosemount 5600 is an excellent non-contact radar transmitter suitable for many different types of applications. For corrosive applications or in the application of viscous products, non-contact technology is the preferred best practice.

Reaction kettle
When the application and process conditions become harsh, high-power radar level gauges can be helpful in obtaining stable and reliable liquid level measurements. Even under extreme conditions such as heavy agitation or turbulence, or when measuring media with very low dielectric constants, the 5600 can provide reliable measurements with its superior 4-wire system performance.

High type container
Products are sometimes stored in very high tanks. Generally speaking, as long as the energy of the echo signal returned from the surface is large enough, a radar level gauge can be used for measurement. The higher the storage tank, the less energy can be returned to the antenna. The combination of medium height storage tanks and measurement media with low dielectric constants also returns very little energy. For these applications, the 5600 can perfectly fit. As a 4-wire high-power radar, it can measure media in storage tanks up to 164 ft (50 m) using standard options, and also provides options suitable for a range of 325 ft (99m).

Solid state measurement
Solid material level measurement has always been a source of frustration for many users. The available technologies for solid measurement are few and far between. Radar, ultrasound, nuclear capacitance, phase-shifting, weighing, and mechanical equipment are the most common technologies in these applications. Of course, all available technologies have different limitations, and radar is the most flexible solution among them.
