The Rosemount 3100 series ultrasonic level transmitter is a reliable and cost-effective non-contact measurement solution. Numerous examples have proven that ultrasonic technology equipped with advanced software and first-class electronic components can provide highly reliable measurements in various applications.
The Rosemount 3101 is a basic liquid level measurement solution suitable for simple liquid level measurement applications. The Rosemount 3102 can provide 2 relay signal outputs to achieve local control functionality. For applications in hazardous areas, 3105, which has passed intrinsic safety certification, can be chosen.
Engineering polymer material (glass filled nylon) shell options are now available for use in corrosive and harsh environments. It is sturdy, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant.
No movable parts, non-contact, continuous liquid level measurement
Standard integrated LCD and buttons for easy configuration and on-site programming
2-channel relay signal output for local control (limited to 3102)
Aluminum or polymer material (glass filled nylon) shell options
Anti corrosion PVDF liquid receiving material
Volume and open channel flow calculation (limited to 3102 and 3105 only)
Easy access to the factory's control network, using 4-20mA/HART ® Output and provide PlantWeb support
Temperature compensation through integrated or optional remote temperature sensors
Dual line direct current (DC) circuit power supply
The working range can reach 11 meters (36 feet)
The Rosemount 3100 series ultrasonic level transmitter is an economical and efficient measurement solution suitable for various applications. It has no moving parts and uses corrosion-resistant PVDF contact material and non-contact measurement methods. Therefore, it requires almost no maintenance. It is not affected by changes in liquid level dielectric constant, viscosity, and density. In addition, the 3100 series also has the following advantages:
Low installation cost
Low debugging cost
The maintenance cost is extremely low
Minimize process downtime to the greatest extent possible
The transmitter can be connected using threaded or flange process connections, making installation very convenient. They can be installed directly onto the container or onto a suitable bracket above the liquid level. Please refer to product data sheet 00813-0100-4840 (in the Documentation tab) for information on bracket and flange installation accessories (see illustration).
Configuration can be done through the local operator interface (integrated buttons and LCD) or HART ® Configuration tools such as on-site handheld communicators or AMS ™ Suite: Smart Device Manager. It can be easily configured through pre programming and tank capacity table.
The transmitter can be shared with the Rosemount 3490 series wall mounted and panel mounted universal control units that provide power and comprehensive control options.
The Rosemount 3102 is equipped with two integrated relays, enhancing local control functionality.
The integrated and optional split installation temperature sensors can automatically correct temperature effects.
The built-in LCD display under the cover can be used to assist with settings. Users can navigate through intuitive menus and input data according to the prompts of the transmitter. Intelligent software ensures that only specific data for the selected application is provided, minimizing programming time to the greatest extent possible.
For ease of installation, Emerson Process Management can provide flange attachments and bracket kits.
Bracket installation accessories
The optional bracket kit includes a stainless steel angled bracket and a PVC threaded disc (see illustration), which can be used to install the transmitter on a bracket above the liquid level.
Please refer to the product data sheet (in the Documentation tab) for ordering information
Flange installation accessories
The optional accessory flange material is PVC and adopts a full plane design. Please refer to the product data sheet (in the Documentation tab) for ordering information
