The Rosemount 3100 series ultrasonic level transmitter is a reliable and cost-effective non-contact measurement solution. Numerous examples have proven that ultrasonic technology equipped with advanced software and first-class electronic components can provide highly reliable measurements in various applications.
The sturdy and durable fully UPVC structure is an ideal product for outdoor applications such as reservoirs, rivers, remote facilities, and sewage treatment plants. Factory sealed (IP68), suitable for wet wells and pools up to 39 feet (12 meters) deep.
The 3107 is used to measure the liquid level and volume in wet wells, water tanks, and storage tanks. Choose 3108 to measure open channel flow.
No movable parts, non-contact, continuous liquid level measurement
UPVC shell and liquid receiving material
Calculate volume or open channel flow rate through pre programmed database
Quick and easy installation and configuration
Easy access to the factory's control network (in English), using 4-20mA/HART ® Output and provide PlantWeb support
2-wire DC circuit power supply
The MCERTS certified version can be used in conjunction with the Rosemount 3490 series control unit
Intrinsic Safety (IS) Certification
The Rosemount 3100 series ultrasonic level transmitter is an economical and efficient measurement solution suitable for various applications. It has no movable parts, uses UPVC shell and liquid contact material, and employs non-contact measurement methods. Therefore, it requires almost no maintenance. It is not affected by changes in liquid level dielectric constant, viscosity, and density. In addition, the 3100 series also has the following advantages:
Low installation cost
Low debugging cost
The maintenance cost is extremely low
Minimize process downtime to the greatest extent possible
Using HART ® Configuration tools (such as field controllers, Rosemount 3490 series control units, or AMS installed on PCs) ™ Kit: Intelligent Device Management System) can be configured.
The transmitter can be used with the Rosemount 3490 series control unit, providing power and comprehensive control options.
Changes in gas phase temperature of storage tanks may lead to inaccurate measurements, while temperature sensors integrated (3107) or remotely installed (3108) can provide automatic compensation
The transmitter can be equipped with a 316 stainless steel mounting bracket, which is used to install the transmitter above the liquid surface. The bracket is secured above the transmitter using 1 in. NPT or BSPP threads and locked with a locking nut.
Use chains or cables to pass through the holes on the bracket, ensuring that the transmitter is suspended vertically from the liquid surface. Additionally, bolts can be used to secure the bracket to a suitable crossbeam above the liquid surface.
Provide flange fittings for tank installation.
Head end verification device
The optional HVD uses fixed brackets and verification equipment (target board) to inspect and verify 3108 transmitters in open channel flow applications.
It is a powerful assistant for instrument calibration, debugging, and verification
It is a simple reference detection for calibrating flow rate
It is an important tool for setting reference dimensions for the bottom of storage tanks
Adopting corrosion-resistant stainless steel structure
Adopting reinforced polypropylene target board
Unreliable traffic data may lead to inefficient operation of factories and unnecessary investment in factory upgrades. This is particularly true when measuring industrial and municipal wastewater, and the attention and focus received are usually relatively low.
Traffic data obtained from reliable sources can enable factories to operate efficiently. By optimizing the processing technology, operators can ensure that additional investment is made after reaching maximum processing capacity.
Open channel flow measurement systems (such as river dams and tanks) typically use non-contact ultrasonic level measuring instruments to measure flow. The most common reason for unreliable flow data is due to inaccurate zeroing of ultrasonic transmitters and measurement range settings. By using Head End Verification Devices (HVDs), routine flow system checks can be performed within minutes.
waterproof cover
In applications where there is a risk of water immersion in the transmitter, it is recommended to use a waterproof cover. The tubular cover is placed on the black front housing of the transmitter. This component is usually installed on devices where the liquid will rise or exceed the surface of the transformer. As the liquid covers the transmitter, an air seal will form in the protective cover, preventing contamination of the transmitter surface.
