The 3DRE and Z3DRE valves are electric pilot operated three-way pressure regulating valves with actuator pressure limiting function. They are used to reduce system pressure.

The valve is mainly composed of a pilot control valve (1), a proportional solenoid valve (2), and a main valve with a main control slide valve (3).

General Instructions
When in a stationary state, i.e. when no pressure is applied to channel P, the spring will hold the main control spool in its initial position. This will open the connection pathway between A (P) and T, while blocking the connection pathway between P and A (P1).
When pressure is connected from port P, pilot oil flows through the flow controller and nozzle towards the throttle gap to the pilot control valve and then into channel T.
The setting of the required pressure reduction value in channel A (P) is achieved through a proportional solenoid valve.

However, if the pressure inside Port A exceeds the set pressure of the pilot control valve, the main control spool will move further to the left, thereby opening the connection between Port A and Port T. In this way, the pressure inside Port A is limited within the set command value range.
