Materials provided

Detection card: A membrane coated with mouse anti RSV antigen-specific antibody and control line antibody binds to mouse anti RSV antibody conjugate and control line antibody conjugate on a folded detection card. The undetected membrane has a blue line in the control line area.

Pipette: A fixed volume (100 μ l) pipette is used to transfer samples into a detection device. Only calibration tubes provided by Binax or capable of transferring a sample volume of 100 μ l can be used.

Positive control swab: Inactivated RSV is dried and bound to the swab.

Negative control swab; Inactivated Group A Streptococcus were dried and bound to the swab.

Bottled elution solution for control swabs: containing a certain volume (0.5ml) of elution solution, used to elute control swabs. Do not use other eluents.

Before use, the detection device should be sealed in tin foil.

Do not use expired reagent kits.

Do not mix reagents from different batch numbers of test kits.

The white sample pad at the top of the detection strip contains reagents for extracting target antigens from the virus. To ensure optimal operation, the sample is slowly added to the middle of the pad during addition, so that all samples are adsorbed onto the pad.

RSV positive control swabs were prepared using inactivated RSV infected tissue culture cells and subsequently tested using a biological assay program. All precautions must be followed during the measurement.

Invalid results may occur when insufficient reagents are added during testing. To ensure sufficient volume is added, when adding the contents of the pipette to the sample pad, it is necessary to ensure that the lower part of the pipette is filled and no bubbles are generated. If there is air present, squeeze the upper suction ball to discharge the specimen back into the container and inhale it again. If necessary, replace the straw with a new one.

When testing nasal wash specimens, avoid the mucous part when suctioning the sample. If the straw is blocked and the lower handle is not filled, squeeze the upper suction ball to discharge the specimen back into the container, aspirate the sample again, and if necessary, replace the straw with a new one.

Storage and stability

test program

Before testing, remove the device from the tin foil and place it flat on the workbench.

Insert the pipette head into the liquid sample and squeeze the upper suction ball to absorb the liquid. When the suction head is filled with liquid and the suction ball is released, the liquid will be sucked into the pipette. Do not generate air at the lower part of the pipette.

Look at the arrow on the detection device to find the white sample pad, and slowly add all the liquid in the pipette (100 μ l) to the middle of the sample pad by squeezing the upper suction ball.

Immediately remove the adhesive liner from the detection device, close and seal the device, and read the results in the window after 15 minutes. The results may be inaccurate if they are earlier or later than 15 minutes.

Attention: When reading the results, tilt the device if necessary to reduce glare.
