SN type thruster bearings.
RENKSN type thruster bearings are suitable for shaft diameters ranging from 140 to 1000mm. The modular bearing structure ensures fast delivery. The bearing seats of the tail end bearing and the middle bearing are the same for each machine base. The shaft diameter range of each machine base is adapted by connecting the end oil baffle and detachable oil slinger with bolts.

Bearing seat:
The bearing seat is made of cast iron EN-GJL-250 or 300, and the base surface and joint surface are finely ground. Other materials such as ductile iron EN-GJS-400 or cast steel GS45 can also be used. The bearing seat can also provide a central base installation method.
Bearing shell:
The bearing shell is supported on a spherical surface inside the bearing seat, so it can self adjust to adapt to the tilt of the shaft. The steel bearing shell body has stable dimensions and is lined with RENKMetaltherm89. The bonding of steel/white alloy is guaranteed and subjected to ultrasonic inspection. The fit of the bearing hole is "H7" according to ISO standard.
Fuel supply:
Self lubrication is achieved by dividing the oil ring into two halves. The embedded spring and washer acting on the shaft ensure the rotation of the oil ring while allowing the shaft to move axially. The adjustable oil scraper guides oil through the oil passage to the oil supply groove in the bearing shell. In addition, if necessary, a circulation pump can be provided to extract oil from the bearing oil pan and deliver it to the bearing shell. The bearing can also be connected to an external oil supply system to deliver cooling oil to the bearing.
heat dissipation
Heat is dissipated through natural cooling; That is, through radiation and convection. If necessary, seawater resistant cooling coils can be installed inside the oil pan. Alternatively, provide an interface to connect to an external fuel supply system. As standard configuration, threaded holes are provided in the lower bearing bearing bearing area of all bearings for installing two temperature probes. To prevent premature oxidation of lubricants, the temperature measured at these points should not exceed 90 ° C
Sealing:
The oil seal chamber is fixed at both ends of the bearing with bolts. The side walls of the chamber form oil baffles, and there is a detachable oil slinger ring rotating with the shaft between these side walls. The oil slinger (made of oil resistant rubber material) adopts a wrapped design and is fixed in place by a clamping spring. This combination of oil slinger and oil baffle forms a very effective non-contact labyrinth seal. The axial clearance inside the sealed chamber can accommodate the normal expansion of the shaft.

Lubricating oil selection:
Generally, any brand lubricant with low foam tendency can be used as lubricant. The correct viscosity for each operating condition will be determined through electronic data processing (EDP) calculations. This type of calculation is always carried out during the design phase. Printed copies of the results can be provided upon request.
